Nice to Have
Nexora is a fast-growing tech company building digital products that make a real difference across Africa. We are looking for a curious and detail-oriented QA Test Engineer to join our engineering team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who loves finding bugs, improving quality, and making sure software works exactly as it should.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to test new features before they reach our users. At Nexora, quality is everyone's responsibility, and your work will directly shape the experience of thousands of people across the continent.
• Write and run manual test cases for web and mobile applications to catch bugs before release.
• Document issues clearly and work with developers to make sure they are fixed properly.
• Participate in sprint planning and review sessions to understand upcoming features and flag potential risks early.
• Help build and maintain simple automated test scripts as you grow in the role.
• Contribute to improving our QA processes, checklists, and documentation so the whole team benefits.
• A diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts such as test cases, bug reporting, and regression testing.
• Familiarity with any bug tracking tool (such as Jira, Trello, or similar) is a plus but not required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills — you need to explain issues clearly to both technical and non-technical teammates.
• A sharp eye for detail, genuine curiosity, and a willingness to learn. We care more about attitude and potential than a long list of certifications.
• Competitive entry-level salary with clear milestones for growth and pay reviews.
• Full health insurance cover and paid time off including public holidays.
• A structured mentorship programme to help you grow from entry level to mid-level engineer within 18 to 24 months.
• Flexible hybrid work arrangement — split your time between home and our collaborative office space.
• Access to a learning budget you can use for courses, certifications, or conferences that support your career goals.
